Membership Drive

On the weekend of March 8-9^th, we will hold membership drives at Holy Saviour Church and St. Vincent Pallotti Church. Please try to spend 15 minutes aft= er a mass to encourage new members into the Council.

Nocturnal Adoration

Nocturnal adoration will be held at = St Rose of Lima Chapel on Green Street on 1/31/08, the night before the fi= rst Friday in February at 8:00PM.

   = We have moved to St. Rose for the months of January, February and Ma= rch. A decision will be made before April on whether we continue there or move b= ack to St. John.

Open House

Sisters= 217; Appreciation Night

On February 23^rd, Santa M= aria Council will host the Sisters of the area at our 35^th Annual Sisters’ Appreciation Dinner, 6:30= PM at the Council Hall. The sisters will have dinner, receive gifts from the Council membership and enjoy a fun-filled evening. What a small token of our gratitud= e for all the work the Sisters do in our Communities. Please help us to thank the= se well-deserving sisters. Coats and ties are required for this special evening.

Free Throw Contest

The annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest was held on Saturday January = 12th at St. Rose of Lima School gym. The council thanks our Chairman Joe Franciosa   and all of our brother knigh= ts who came out to support this effort.

Championsh= ip Sunday

The annual NFC/AFC Championship Sund= ay party was held on January 20, 2008. The council thanks Chairman Dan Olivieri and our hard working House Committee for a great time.

Field Agent

It is with great pleasure that I ann= ounce that our Field Agent Lou Esloa finished in the top 10% out of over 1300 fie= ld agents in the United States. Lou works very hard to help protect all of our members and to continue the legacy of Father McGivney.
