Membership News

Let’s stay focused on our new membership goal.  We recruited over 50 members this past Columbian year. There is still plenty of time to exceed last year’s membership numbers. Let us help our Membership Director Steve Wells to earn Century Club by gaining 100 new members. 

Nocturnal Adoration

    The council’s next       Nocturnal Adoration hour at St. John’s in Collingswood is scheduled for Thursday, May 3rd at 8:00 PM. Please make every effort to join your brothers for this Santa Maria tradition. April 5^th is Holy Thursday.  Please make an effort to participate in the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.

Nominating Committee

Grand Knight, Dan Farrell, has announced the formation of a Nominating Committee for the purpose of recommending a slate of Council Officers for the coming fraternal year.  John Erwin, PGK, DD has been appointed the chairman of the committee. Other committee members are: Reggie Beckett, SD; Lennis Hughes, PGK, FDD; Gene Howard Sr., PGK FDD, Gene Howard Jr., PGK, FDD, George Schmidt, PGK, FDD; John Mazziotti Jr, PGK, FDD, Michael Minyon, PGK, Nick Fesi, PGK; Al Johnson Jr, PGK; George Ezekiel, PGK; Mark Kiernan, PGK; Trustee Jim Shields; Trustee Dan Olivieri and Lou DiMeo, PGK. Nominations will be read and taken at the second regular meeting in May as well as the night of the election, which is the first meeting in June.

Council Fish Fry

On Friday, April 6th, the Council will hold the Council Fish Fry. Why not stop in before Stations of the Cross or following the afternoon services?  Dinner will be served from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. Cost is $7.50 for Adults & $5.00 for children 13 and under.

Awards Night

Bro. Lou DiMeo, PGK would like to invite all the members of Santa Maria Council and their families to the Annual Awards Night Ceremony to be held on Monday, April 23^rd at 7:30 PM. Please come out to show your appreciation for the outstanding efforts of our Brothers.

Annual Drive

Our annual drive for People with Intellectual Disabilities will be Thursday thru Saturday, April 26^th - 29^th.  We need your help. Just a few hours of your time to help cover the stores can make a difference for such a worthy cause. Let’s try to meet (or beat) last years goal. Easter Egg Hunt

Join Santa Maria Council and the parish of St. Vincent Pallotti as we celebrate our annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 7th, following the Blessing of Baskets at 9:00 AM. All participants are asked to begin by joining in a very brief prayer service at 9:00 AM in the church.

Spring Fling

It's the "Spring Fling"! sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary, on Saturday,  April 28^th, 8-12 PM. Music by Still Nineteen. Tickets are $20pp.  Let’s support their efforts and thank the Ladies for all their past support. It promises to be a fun time for all. Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, April 11th for their monthly meeting. New Members are always welcome. The Auxiliary has a meeting on the 2^nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM. and a social evening the 4^th Thursday of the month at 7:30PM at the Council. Helping with food

Brothers, we have a great tradition of providing food baskets at holiday time to those in need. Please help to fill our pantry so that we can prepare our Easter food baskets. Remember to bring something to the council when you stop in. If you know of someone in need, contact Inside Guard Peter Barratta (310-7077).
